About the role

This is an entry-level plant production position at Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor. The role involves handling bulk cheese, operating cheese cutters and shredders, packing finished products, and stacking completed cases on pallets. Employees rotate hourly and contribute to high-quality dairy production in a team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate infeed cheese to cheese cutting or shredding department
• Manually feed cheese to conveyor belt to scale and wrapper
• Fill cases with good packages (by count or weight) and place filled cases into carton sealers (6lb, 20lb, 30lb, & 40lb cases)
• Stack completed cases on pallets, ensuring correct pallet configuration and count as stated on the product template
• Clean and sanitize production equipment
• Fill/operate dry ingredient dispensers as needed
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on cheese portioning/shredding department
• Change tape in carton sealers
• Report daily production on required forms
• Return rejected packages from the casing area to packing area; open rejected packages onto the line or into trim barrel
• Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping practices
• Comply with all quality system and regulatory requirements
• Work in a safe and efficient manner
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Perform other job duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of demonstrated work experience
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, or dairy food manufacturing preferred
• Good math skills
• Proficient computer skills, including software and data entry (SAP experience a plus)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good attendance record

Pay

Pay Range: $26.31 - $31.05 per hour
