Work Location: Forest Park Position requires the ability to work overtime. As a result, it may require working varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs. Core Hours: 4:00pm-4:30am Want to make an impact? As a General Labor employee, you'll contribute to the production process by performing hands-on tasks such as dumping product into packaging equipment, catching and packing finished goods, palletizing completed cases, conducting visual quality checks, and helping maintain a safe, efficient, and clean manufacturing environment. Your work will play a direct role in delivering high-quality products to consumers. Ways you will make a difference Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Assemble cartons and packaging materials Consistently load candy into production and packaging equipment Follow all safety procedures and work in accordance with Ferrara safety standards Perform routine visual quality checks to ensure product quality and consistency Promptly notify the machine operator of equipment jams Inspect materials, products, and containers throughout the packaging process Pack specialty product assortments and promotional configurations as assigned Package finished goods to ensure quality presentation and appearance Verify and execute designated pallet patterns as required Assist with production support, product handling, and cleanup activities as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Skills that will make you successful Ability to safely handle materials using established material handling methods, or other available controls, as required by the position Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply common-sense problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to maintain productivity and keep pace with production line requirementsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to identify and resolve routine issues in a standardized work environment Dependable, flexible, and willing to support various production needs as assignedReliable attendance and punctualityAbility to work scheduled shifts and overtime as neededAbility to accurately use timekeeping and production tracking systems Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to learnCommitment to following all company policies, food safety requirements, and quality standards, including FSSC 22000 Experiences that will support your success Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not required What We Offer At Ferrara, we're proud to support our employees with comprehensive benefits that enhance health, financial wellness, and include paid time off (PTO).
