General Helper
About the role
The General Helper position at International Paper involves learning to operate production equipment and performing various production tasks. Duties include reading factory orders, counting and stacking finished product, and interpreting written, verbal, or electronic instructions.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to safely and efficiently operate production equipment while performing general production tasks.
- Read factory orders.
- Count and stack finished product.
- Interpret a variety of instructions given in written, verbal, or electronic forms.
- Utilize test equipment proficiently.
- Perform basic math calculations.
- Inspect product shipments for accuracy.
- Verify the absence of manufacturing defects.
Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Proficient in using test equipment.
- Basic math skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with basic math and reading factory orders.
