About the role
The General Foreman oversees the daily operations of electrical construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison between Project Management and field personnel
- Mentor the workforce and address challenges
- Manage crew members, apprentices, journeymen, and subcontractors
- Enforce production schedules, quality assurance, and company protocols
- Interpret and execute from blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Document daily activities, production levels, and work completed
- Conduct site safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA standards
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience, with a focus on foreman roles
- Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and electrical safety practices
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents effectively
- Experience with relevant technology and reporting tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to work in diverse environments
