Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Flatwork Crew Foreman to lead our team in the installation of flatwork concrete projects, including sidewalks, driveways, patios, and other concrete surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete construction and a proven track record of successfully managing crews to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of flatwork concrete projects from start to finish, including site preparation, forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
- Lead and supervise a crew of laborers, finishers, and equipment operators to ensure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of the work.
- Cook up with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Conduct daily job site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor crew members to develop their skills and knowledge in flatwork concrete construction.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage for each project.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in flatwork concrete construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing crews on similar projects.
- Thorough knowledge of concrete materials, techniques, and equipment used in flatwork construction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
