About the role

This position involves serving as a technically responsible engineer and program/project manager, overseeing project management from pre-award to post-award, developing RFP packages, and managing construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre-award to post-award executions.
• Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) packages for contract acquisition.
• Develop construction and sustainment restoration and modernization (SRM) project requirements with user input.
• Visit proposed construction sites, review engineering feasibility reports, coordinate topographic surveys, and recommend appropriate skill sets.
• Maintain and coordinate the scheduling and accomplishment of various phases of work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

• Conditions of employment: Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. May be required to travel up to 25% of the time. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license. Knowledge of CAD is desired.
• Qualifications: US Citizens. Basic Requirement: Degree in engineering or combination of education and experience. Specialized Experience: Planning engineering projects and/or programs; evaluating technical engineering issues; recommending improvements to operations; and assisting with the development and execution of utilities projects.

• Education: Foreign education must be evaluated as being equivalent to education gained in an accredited U.S. education program.
• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning engineering projects and/or programs; evaluating technical engineering issues; recommending improvements to operations; and assisting with the development and execution of utilities projects.
