About the role
This position involves assisting in the design and development of engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications. It also includes assisting in the inspection and evaluation of these projects and resources, identifying engineering problems, and recommending corrective actions. Technical engineering reports and studies are prepared with completeness, technical adequacy, and adherence to prescribed formats.
Requirements
- Must sign a mobility agreement if selected.
- Must sign an Army Fellows Participant Agreement if selected.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- The appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for Test and Evaluation certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the design and development of engineered devices, equipment or systems using established criteria or specifications; or, assisting in the inspection and evaluation of engineered projects and resources; or, assisting in identifying engineering problems and recommending corrective action.
