RemoteRemoteLegal$90–$130/hrContract

About the role

Part‑time, remote engagement for senior in‑house lawyers with extensive experience negotiating technology agreements. You will run mock negotiations and mark‑ups of realistic tech contracts, evaluate how an AI system handles the same documents, help write scoring rubrics, and provide practical guidance to the research team.

Responsibilities

  • Run mock negotiations and mark‑ups of realistic technology agreements (MSAs, NDAs, ISDA, data‑processing terms).
  • Grade AI‑generated contract reviews: assess whether the AI spotted risks, read clauses correctly, and proposed sensible fallbacks.
  • Help write and refine scoring rubrics to ensure consistent grading.
  • Feed practical guidance back to the research team to improve AI performance.

Requirements

  • Three or more years in a general counsel or senior in‑house role with hands‑on responsibility for master services agreements, NDAs, ISDA paperwork, and data‑processing terms.
  • Precise drafting skills and a low tolerance for sloppy language.
  • Ability to explain, in writing, why a position is right or wrong so a non‑lawyer can act on it.
  • Comfortable working alongside product and research people.
  • Earlier exposure to legal tech or AI projects is welcome but not required.

Pay

Compensation is per completed task; a typical task takes about three and a half hours, with a published hourly equivalent of $90–$130.

Schedule

Independent contractor, remote, roughly 20 hours per week with flexible hours.
