ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing/Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Removing Germs: Clean doorknobs, walls, and windows with proper solutions.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces with germicidal solution, paying attention to the rim of the toilet bowl.
• Refilling Soap Dispensers: Check and refill soap and paper dispensers daily.
• Emptying Trash Cans: Remove liners and wipe trash cans; replace with clean liners.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms using the "S" stroke and counter brush.
• Mopping Floors: Use proper germicidal solution to mop floors, including under furniture and behind doors.
• Grounds Care: Clean and check outside areas, empty ash urns and trash cans, and clean public areas.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, answer questions courteously, and report issues to supervisor.
• Work Quietly: Reduce noise and maintain a clean appearance.
• Other Duties: Perform tasks such as floor care, carpet extraction, and floor waxing as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate and interpret instructions for cleaning chemicals.
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties, including lifting, carrying, and reaching.
• Sight and hand-eye coordination for safety and task completion.
