ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Removing Germs: Clean doorknobs, walls, and windows with proper solutions.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces in a specific order using germicidal solution.
• Emptying and Cleaning Trash Cans: Remove liners, wipe trash cans, and refill as needed.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying special attention to under furniture and behind doors.
• Grounds Care: Clean and check outside areas, including sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, be friendly, and report issues to supervisor.
• Work Quietly: Reduce noise and stay in assigned area unless directed otherwise.
• Maintain Personal Appearance: Keep clean and neat appearance.
• Perform Other Duties: May include floor care, carpet extraction, and floor waxing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate various janitorial equipment.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, lifting, carrying, operating equipment, and reaching.
