ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing/Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Removing Germs: Clean doorknobs, walls, and windows using proper solutions.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces in a specific order, including toilets, soap dispensers, and paper dispensers.
• Trash Can Management: Empty and clean trash cans, refill as needed.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying special attention to under furniture and near doors.
• Grounds Care: Clean and check outside areas, including sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines.
• Food Court Cleaning: Clean tables, chairs, and trash cans, and sanitize using a tray power washer.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, answer questions courteously, and report issues to supervisor.
• Work Quietly: Reduce noise and maintain a clean appearance.
• Other Duties: Perform tasks such as floor care, carpet extraction, and floor waxing as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate various janitorial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Physical requirements: ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, operate equipment, and perform various manual tasks.
