General Business Counselor

This senior-level position works directly with aspiring entrepreneurs and small and mid-sized business owners to help them start, manage and grow their businesses. The counselor provides expert, one-on-one business guidance, training, research and technical assistance to help clients address challenges, explore new markets, develop new products or technologies and identify opportunities for growth. The position serves businesses in the Elizabeth City area and across an assigned multi-county region, connecting clients with additional SBTDC expertise and resources when needed. The role requires broad knowledge of small business management, including financial analysis and market research, as well as the ability to independently manage multiple clients and priorities.
