About the role
The Business Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving business performance through data, analytics, and strategic financial insights. Reporting, forecasting, process improvements, and data-driven decision making are among the responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze sales, operational, and financial data to support business performance reporting and forecasting.
- Partner with Finance during monthly close activities, validating data, identifying variances, and providing analytical support.
- Maintain and enhance datasets related to sales, rebates, commissions, and expenses while ensuring data integrity.
- Develop and distribute sales performance reports, dashboards, and insights for business leaders.
- Analyze commission and rebate programs, including trend analysis, accrual support, and payment validation.
- Perform predictive and scenario-based analysis to support sales and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to improve reporting capabilities and business processes.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI and Salesforce.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve efficiency, and strengthen transparency across the organization.
- Assist with special projects, ad hoc analysis, and strategic initiatives within the Finance function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analytics, or accounting roles.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and modeling.
- Working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting practices.
- Experience with Power BI, Salesforce, Microsoft Access, or work in a service or manufacturing setting is beneficial.
