General Assignment Reporter

About the role

We are looking for a take-charge General Assignment Reporter to help us continue to grow and empower our audiences!

Responsibilities

• Develop story ideas and gather information for newscasts
• Write and deliver clear, accurate, and engaging news stories under tight deadlines
• Have strong live reporting, interviewing, and storytelling skills across broadcast and digital platforms
• Show excellent news judgment and ability to identify stories that resonate with local audiences
• Be proficient in newsroom software, social media, and digital content creation tools

Requirements and Qualifications

• Teachable, coachable
• Experience with live shots is required
• Experience with Live-U is a plus
