About the role
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering General Assembly Feasibility Lead will be responsible for GA activities across New & MCA programs. The lead will provide direction to manufacturing Feasibility specialists, drive product to design to manufacturing requirements, coordinate internal manufacturing customers with Product team through co-location, & propose alternative product solutions to drive issue closure.
Responsibilities
- Develop Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize Capex
- Support future Plant Loading studies
- Develop and lead Vertical Integration for Make/Buy alignment
- Develop detailed Process Maps
- Ensure Feasibility studies are performed in the Plant Environment
- Lead Change Management meetings to ensure product process and tooling are aligned
- Manage General Assembly KPIs
- Maintain Design to Manufacturing and Feasibility requirements in Product Design prior to TKO’s
- Develop high visibility weekly updates to Stellantis management
- Support WPI & Launch activities through travel to assembly plants
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of Manufacturing/Product engineering experience, with knowledge of manufacturing/plant operations & Product design
- Strong knowledge of GA manufacturing processes, tooling, carriers
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong organizational/project management skills
- Strong knowledge of DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly)
- Self-motivated and able to successfully achieve results under time pressure
- Able to work with all levels of management while establishing and maintaining lines of communication
- Superior teamwork and leadership skills required as well as the ability to handle multiple projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (preferred)
- 10+ years of Manufacturing/Product engineering experience, with knowledge of manufacturing and plant operations (preferred)
