As a Machine Learning Solutions Architect (ML SA), you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers in the AMERICAS design solutions that leverage AWS ML services. You will work closely with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to enable large-scale use cases, design ML pipelines, and drive the adoption of AWS for AI/ML platforms. You will interact with other Solutions Architects in the field, providing guidance on customer engagements, and develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers to fully leverage AI/ML on AWS.

Additionally, as the voice of the customer, you will work closely with service teams to submit product feature requests. You must have deep technical experience with Generative AI, machine learning, and/or deep learning. A strong mathematics and statistics background is preferred, along with experience building complex machine learning models. You will leverage your knowledge of the GenAI software vendor ecosystem to assist AWS customers in their selection process.

If selected, you may work out of one of the following cities: San Jose, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, or Arlington. Travel up to 50% across the USA may be possible.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers’ development and data science teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs, then design solutions leveraging AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon AgentCore, Amazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Personalize, and other AI/ML services.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Sales, Business Development, and AI/ML service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment for Amazon SageMaker and related GenAI services in the AMERICAS.
  • Evangelize AWS ML services and share best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events (e.g., AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent).
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and AWS service teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback.
  • Develop and support an AWS internal community of GenAI-related subject matter experts in the AMERICAS.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
  • 4+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Deep technical experience with Generative AI, machine learning, and/or deep learning.
  • Strong mathematics and statistics background, with experience building complex machine learning models.
  • Familiarity with the ecosystem of software vendors in the GenAI space.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective.

Pay

The base salary range for this position varies by location:

  • San Francisco, CA: $151,000 - $204,300 USD annually
  • Atlanta, GA: $131,300 - $177,600 USD annually
  • New York, NY: $144,500 - $195,400 USD annually
  • Austin, TX: $131,300 - $177,600 USD annually

Your Amazon package will also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
