About the role
As an AI Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering AI-powered automation solutions that transform procurement and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes. You will be a valued member of a cross-functional AI and Automation team and work collaboratively with solution architects, cloud engineers, procurement domain experts, and client stakeholders to build intelligent, production-ready AI agents on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI agent solutions that automate procurement workflows, including intake processing, supplier evaluation, and document analysis.
- Build and orchestrate LLM-driven workflows using Amazon Bedrock, AWS Step Functions, and related AWS-native services.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and procurement applications using APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting structured and unstructured procurement data across AWS services.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to optimize agent behavior, prompt engineering strategies, performance, governance, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering, AI engineering, or machine learning experience, including hands-on experience developing AI agent or LLM-based solutions.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agentic AI frameworks.
- Experience with AWS services including Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SageMaker.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, enterprise integration patterns, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience building, deploying, or supporting NLP and LLM-powered applications in production environments.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agent tool orchestration techniques.
- Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting procurement, supply chain, accounts payable, or finance transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Ivalua, or other enterprise procurement platforms.
- Experience implementing RAG solutions using Amazon Kendra, OpenSearch, or similar technologies.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty or AWS Certified Developer.
- Experience working in startup, innovation, or forward-deployed engineering environments.
- Exposure to financial operations, reconciliation, treasury, or order management processes.
Skills
- Experience with NLP and LLM-powered applications in production environments.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agent tool orchestration techniques.
- Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Pay
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000- $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
This is a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States. Limited travel may be required based on project needs.
