About the Role
Supports the development of power generation development projects across the United States while mastering the analytical and process components of the business development cycle; evaluates opportunities for increasingly complex small energy projects or components of large energy projects; assists Exelon management in completing business development goals; organizes information to track projects at all stages of development; leads, as requested, the analysis of project portfolio, competitive landscape and external market.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Leads project teams to advance energy power generation development opportunities.
- Supports, develops and helps implement a strategic plan leading to investments in power generation development projects.
- Prepare the necessary documents for project justification and approval.
- Work closely with station managers to align project planning with station outages and plant operation.
- Actively engage with development team lead on progress, status and issues pertaining to assigned deliverables.
- Track progress and report completion of work.
- Works with business partners to manage vendor relationship while maximizing results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5-years of related experience OR Associate degree with 7 years overall of related experience OR High school diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience.
- Understanding of different power markets, drivers and opportunities, including an understanding of how they're transforming.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of financial concepts and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to apply creative problem-solving skills and strong business acumen, with proven experience navigating group and corporate dynamics effectively.
- Experience in preparing business plans, including financial analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills along with excellent computer skills.
- Effective written and oral communication/presentation skills, report generation & technical writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g. CPA, CFA, MBA).
- Familiarity with the overall power industry structure and independent generation project development, construction, & operation.
Pay and Benefits
- Expected salary range of $101,700 to $113,000, varies based on experience.
