Essential Functions
- Assesses each student's individual educational needs and administers TABE test and other assessments as needed.
- Teaches GED prep classes and documents student progress on a monthly basis.
- Creates weekly lesson plans.
- The coordination of transition plans, reviewing IEP’s, and maintaining student attendance records.
- Schedules students to take the GED exam at official Test Centers approved by the New York State Education Department.
- Collaborates with local high schools and the NYS Department of Education.
- Affords assistance to students with uploading documents for test accommodations on GED.com portal.
- Refers applicants to alternative GED programs if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 1 year experience teaching and/or 2 years tutoring experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Schedule
Monday - Thursday (9:00am-5:00pm) Thursdays Remote
