GED Instructor- Part time

Essential Functions

• Assesses each student's individual educational needs and administers TABE test and other assessments as needed.
• Teaches GED prep classes and documents student progress on a monthly basis.
• Creates weekly lesson plans.
• The coordination of transition plans, reviewing IEP’s, and maintaining student attendance records.
• Schedules students to take the GED exam at official Test Centers approved by the New York State Education Department.
• Collaborates with local high schools and the NYS Department of Education.
• Affords assistance to students with uploading documents for test accommodations on GED.com portal.
• Refers applicants to alternative GED programs if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 1 year experience teaching and/or 2 years tutoring experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Schedule

Monday - Thursday (9:00am-5:00pm) Thursdays Remote
