About the role
The GE Vernova Advanced Research program is designed for recent graduates with a Master's degree within the past 12 months who are eager to launch their careers in industry R&D. Participants will work on 3 technical assignments over 3 years, collaborating with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for the energy industry.
Responsibilities
- Work on 3 technical assignments over 3 years in a variety of technical disciplines.
- Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative technologies for the energy industry.
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
- Participate in leadership development training that enhances professional skills and provides LEAN tools training, industrial knowledge and functional expertise.
- Share technical accomplishments internally and externally through presentations, written reports, and IP disclosures.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, or related STEM discipline.
- Desire to begin an industry position rather than immediately pursue additional academic endeavors.
- Demonstrated research experience in an internship or university thesis work encompassing critical thinking, scientific reasoning, data analytics and interpretation, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Pay
- Pay range for this position is between $75,000 and $98,500.
