Position Description: Provide technical and administrative support to the EHS/HR department with a focus on the prevention of workplace injuries & illnesses and environmental spills and releases which could adversely impact soil, air or water. The individual must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to effectively communicate to front line employees, supervisors and site management.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom and on the job training for topics such as: Hazard Communication, Lockout-Tagout, Hearing Conservation, Emergency Plans/drills, Hazardous Waste Management, Stormwater Pollution Prevention, New Employee Orientation, Respiratory Protection, Bloodborne Pathogens, Behavior Based Safety, Ergonomics, Fall Protection, Mechanical Power Presses, Forklift Training, Electrical safety, etc.
• File training records and update tracking spreadsheets.
• Write, update or present EHS information at supervisor tool box talks.
• Update and write plant EHS policies and programs including: Emergency Plan, Hazardous Waste Plan, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection and Worksite Specific Procedures, PPE Assessments, Lockout-Tagout procedures, Confined Space Entry, various EHS forms and task specific
