GBM Private, Capital Solutions Group, Leveraged Finance, Vice President - New York

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of private debt / direct lending leveraged finance transactions.
• Cook up deals by coordinating across internal product groups (M&A, Sponsors, ECM, Risk, Legal, Goldman's Credit Partners) and external counterparties to drive transactions from origination through closing.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality internal underwriting and syndication materials (lender presentations, model, etc.).
• Support senior bankers in originating new private debt and leveraged finance opportunities, including pitch development and relationship management.
• Demonstrate commercial judgment in identifying financing solutions aligned with client objectives and prevailing market conditions.
• Manage, mentor, and review the work of Associates and Analysts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to Goldman's standards.
• Provide coaching and feedback to junior team members on technical skills, presentation quality, and professional development.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and 3.5 years of investment banking experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 7.5 years of investment banking, leveraged finance, or equivalent experience.
• A strong track record of executing Leveraged Finance transactions in an investment banking role.
• Two years’ experience in leading deal teams of analysts and associates.
• A history of outstanding academic and professional achievement.
