Gastrointestinal Technician
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required. In addition, completion of a recognized training program (such as courses provided through the University of Maryland Medical System, community colleges, United States Armed Forces with the attainment of Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Corpsman) or equivalent is required. Successful completion of an advanced technical endoscopic skills seminar course is preferred. BLS certification is required.
Work Experience & Education
Previous endoscopy or GI tech experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to initiate emergency procedures
- Ability to set up, operate and maintain all endoscopic equipment
- Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills with patients, visitors, and other healthcare team members
Benefits
- PRN Days (Mon - Fri 8am-4:30pm)
- Pay Range: $22.57- $31.59/hr. (depends on years of experience)
- Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift Differential
