About the role
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Specialty Tech-Gastroenterology at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Set up clean field for specific gastroenterological procedures.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Practice economy in the use of all supplies.
- Be knowledgeable about professional and practice issues related to the field of gastroenterology.
- Treat all staff members, patients, and respect.
- Monitor internal and external customer complaints.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen.
- High school diploma.
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program and have a current certificate.
- One year of experience within the last 36 months as a surgical services technician.
- BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association within the last 36 months.
- One year within the past 36 months in a medical setting.
- Prior experience with GI procedures: specimen care and handling, infection control.
