About the role

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts comprising an academic medical center, three community hospitals, and the region’s largest multispecialty group. The flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, hosts the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School–Baystate. The integrated Division of Gastroenterology includes 16 gastroenterologists, one advanced endoscopist fellow, and ten advanced practice providers across the academic medical center and community hospitals. The position offers a comprehensive general gastroenterology practice with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests such as IBD, hepatology, motility, or other areas based on clinical interest and departmental needs, along with a faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School–Baystate, opportunities to teach GI fellows and internal medicine residents, and participation in academic programs, conferences, and lectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general gastroenterology practice.
• Develop subspecialty interests in areas including IBD, hepatology, motility, or other based on clinical interest and departmental needs.
• Hold a faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School–Baystate, with opportunities to teach GI fellows, internal medicine residents, and participate in academic programs, conferences, and lectures.
• Participate in call rotation 1:13.

Qualifications

ABMS Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.

Pay

$530,000–$650,000.
