About the role
Seeking a Gastroenterology physician for inpatient coverage during the holiday period in South Georgia. Role: Provide comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology services on a 24-hour shift basis, including weekend call duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily hospital rounds
- Manage emergency consultations
- Handle 5-10 patient consultations daily
- Perform procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD/Upper scopes, enteroscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy
- ERCP experience preferred
Qualifications
- Board certification required
- Experience with essential gastroenterology procedures
- Ability to work on-site and manage adult patient cases
Support & Environment
Collaborate with nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative team. Support includes handling emergency and routine cases with a focus on quality patient care.
