Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - CVPH

About the role

The CVPH Gastroenterology team is seeking a passionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality care to adult patients in Plattsburgh, New York.

Responsibilities

• Manage an outpatient panel of GI patients
• Perform inpatient rounding and consultations with physician support
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat GI conditions; order and interpret tests
• Collaborate with physicians, APP colleagues, nursing, and support teams
• Coordinate discharges, follow-up plans, and patient education

Requirements

• Licensed NP or PA in New York State (or eligibility to obtain)
• Eligible for DEA registration in NY
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred

• Gastroenterology or acute care experience

Schedule

• 36 hours of patient-facing time
• 4 hours of non-patient facing time
• 8-hour days, 5 days per week
• Inpatient coverage of one week every third week, with remaining time spent in clinic
