What You'll Do
Performs tasks and procedures consistent with Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant's specialized knowledge, judgment, skill, training and education within the scope of his/her supervising physician.
NP/PA will enter into and maintain a supervision agreement with a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Arkansas. Under such agreement, the physician delegates to the NP/PA authority to deliver health care services and treatments, and to prescribe drugs, medications, devices or therapies which are specific to those clinical conditions treated by the supervising physician.
Requirements
- Current Arkansas Advanced Practice Nurse licensure as a Nurse Practitioner according to AR State Board of Nursing.
- Current Arkansas Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
- OR Current Arkansas Physician Assistant license.
- Graduate of Physician assistant program accredited by the committee on Allied Health, education and accreditation of the American Medical Association.
