Gastroenterology – Grand Rapids - PA/NP

About the role

The University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full-time Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider to join their GI team in expanding care to local communities in West Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Performing full spectrum of outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology services including general GI, advanced endoscopy, hepatology, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) visits.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.
• Coordinating care with other specialists and primary care providers.

Requirements

• Highly skilled and experienced in gastroenterology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
• Familiarity with virtual care options.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider in Michigan.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in gastroenterology.
• Knowledge of clinical protocols and procedures.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, or Bosnian preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Pay

Michigan Medicine and University of Michigan Health systems offer a highly market-competitive compensation plan.

Schedule

Provider will be available to work extended hours, including some weekends.
