About the role
Seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a rapidly growing GI program in a community health system. This hospital‑employed position provides an immediate patient volume with an established waitlist, supporting a balanced mix of outpatient procedures and inpatient consults. The practice currently includes two advanced and three general gastroenterologists, with plans to expand to six‑seven physicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform outpatient endoscopic procedures.
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology consults.
- Participate in a shared inpatient GI rotation.
- Collaborate with dedicated advanced practice support.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the expanding GI team.
Qualifications
- Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Ability to perform advanced procedures such as ERCP (fellowship not required for general GI practice).
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Skills
- Proficiency in endoscopic techniques, including ERCP.
- Strong clinical decision‑making for inpatient consults.
- Effective teamwork with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
