About the Role
Systems Engineering is a cross-functional technical discipline focused on an approach, mindset, and process that considers both business and technical customer needs to deliver a quality product meeting user requirements. This role involves implementing a robust process for designing, building, and optimizing systems—from identifying and quantifying system requirements, creating alternative design concepts, conducting design trade-off studies, selecting and implementing the best designs, to verifying proper integration and execution. The process spans from concept through production to operation.
Responsibilities include ensuring the quality of one's own work within a defined operational framework under direct supervision, following prescribed work instructions and system checks. Work is performed within a structured operational environment with a step-by-step sequence of standard tasks to achieve an end result.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, evaluate, implement, and manage engineering solutions for product and control system technology requirements.
- Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors, including operability, boundary setting, cycle optimization, control logic, control-related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control equipment, subsystem, and system performance.
- Develop conceptual knowledge of the technical discipline and support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge across a broad area.
- Apply general business knowledge developed through education or past experience.
- Understand how the work of the team contributes to the broader function.
- Solve problems using established procedures and consult supervisors or senior team members for issues outside defined instructions or parameters.
- Collaborate with others to resolve problems.
- For customer-facing roles, build strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customers and GE Vernova.
- Communicate technical information, ask questions, and verify understanding.
Requirements
- Basic experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge level comparable to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

Pay
For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
