Gas Trading Operations Specialist (f/m/d) based in Paris (part-/full-time)

About the role

Join our Gas Market Operations team and play an important role in ensuring the smooth functioning of EEX's Gas Spot and Futures markets.

Your Tasks

• Oversee daily market operations and help guarantee the reliable and efficient execution of trading activities across our gas market products
• Serve as a key point of contact for trading participants, supporting customers with questions related to our trading venues, products, and operational processes
• Determine and validate settlement prices in line with established methodologies and market standards
• Contribute to market surveillance activities by monitoring trading behavior and market developments to support price integrity, fair market conditions, and regulatory compliance
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and facilitate effective collaboration across different functions, working closely with colleagues across the EEX Group and external partners
• Actively participate in projects and strategic initiatives aimed at further developing and expanding our gas market offerings

Qualifications

• University Degree or graduate from an Engineering/Business School
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, particularly Gas Futures and Options
• Solid understanding of exchange platforms and their operational mechanisms
• Proficiency in IT systems and infrastructure
• Ownership mindset with personal accountability and proactive engagement in projects
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment
• Flexibility combined with strong reliability
• Excellent English skills, both spoken and written, in a business context
• French and/or German is a plus
