Gas Station Attendant

Job Duties

• Maintains proper function of gas pumps during operation.
• Affixes labels to fuel tanks and monitors their levels.
• Assists members with inquiries and educates them on station operations.
• Cleans gas spills using neutralizing agents and absorbing cloths, disposing of materials properly.
• Maintains cleanliness of the station, including dispensers, data shed, islands, pavement, and trash.
• Loads pump receipt tape and ribbons.
• Performs inspection of all equipment, conducts routine maintenance on filters and nozzles, and controls open or closed signs.
• Researches area competitive pricing and documents reports into the computer.
• Monitors fuel deliveries, ensures safety precautions, and completes all documentation.
• Enforces National fire codes and Costco safety policies, such as no smoking, ignition turned off, and filling storage containers.
• Responds to alarms appropriately, uses fire extinguisher if necessary, and ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery as needed.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
• High level of member service and ability to assist and educate members.
• Knowledge of gas station operations and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report documentation.
