About the role
Ensure the accuracy of gas measurement equipment by installing, maintaining, monitoring, analyzing, optimizing, and ensuring data integrity for production and sales measurement equipment.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Support Measurement supervisor and production foreman with in-field measurement and applications per company policies and industry standards
- Collect electronic flow measurement (EFM) data
- Install and configure EFM hardware and software
- Install and calibrate electronic transducers and automated valve equipment
- Monitor and analyze production and sales meter data daily and troubleshoot upset conditions as needed
- Contact appropriate personnel for measurement inaccuracies and ensure corrected data is input appropriately
- Review measurement design and work with Engineering to ensure construction projects utilize field-friendly, accurate measurement
- Respond to corrective work orders in a timely fashion and track results and all costs through Diamondback systems
- Provide vacation relief for Measurement Technicians and Supervisor
- Work non-traditional and on-call hours, as needed (nights, weekends, etc.)
- Frequent travel to field locations and training sites
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of oil and gas experience
- Understanding of test vessels, piping, meters, and O&G operations
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills and to learn company-specific applications
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Able to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of a variety of EFM equipment: ABB, ROC, Fox Thermal, Scadapack
- Knowledge of software: PCCU, Emerson Field tools, Realflo, FT4X View
- Ability to communicate effectively among various teams
