Gas Leak Survey Technician II
About the role
As a Gas Leak Survey Technician II at Honeywell in Louisville, KY, you will provide top‑notch service and support by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced systems and equipment, ensuring seamless operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. The role offers training, autonomy, and the chance to make an impact. You will report to the Field Service Supervisor, work out of the Louisville location, and follow a Monday‑through‑Friday, 7:00 AM‑3:30 PM schedule, being home each night. Travel to support additional projects may be required, and you will be issued a company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and required PPE/uniforms.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and service to customers
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of systems
- Install and configure equipment and software
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address customer needs
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and documentation
Qualifications
You must have:
- Minimum 2 years experience in field service or face‑to‑face customer service
- Ability to participate in training and pass operator qualifications for service
- Pass a DOT drug screen
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to Honeywell
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with gas leak surveys and inspections
- College degree or technical certification
- Basic MS Office skills
- Customer service and people skills
- Ability to follow instructions
Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to carry required tools and tool bag (10‑15 lbs) regularly for extended periods and distances
- Ability to spend long periods standing and/or walking on concrete and other surfaces
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment correctly, including safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles/face shield, hearing protection, safety harness, and resistant gloves
