Garden Center Merchandiser

About the role

The Simply Set team is seeking a passionate individual who enjoys working outdoors and has a deep understanding of plants and gardening. This position involves working with a wide range of seasonal products, including annuals, perennials, and vegetables, and partnering with major retailers to supply high-quality plant material.

Responsibilities

• Display, merchandise, and maintain live plant products in large garden center environments.
• Train and support other associates on procedures, displays, and proper watering practices.
• Engage with customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Work across multiple store locations when required.
• Collaborate effectively with store personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain regular communication with the Team Lead and promptly report any special requests or needs.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Saturday work is required as part of the role. During peak season, employees may also be required to work holidays.
• Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Smartphone required for taking photos during each store visit and submitting them to the Team Lead.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Seasonal, with Saturday work required and potential for holiday work during peak season.
