Garden Center Merchandiser

About the role

The Simply Set team is seeking a passionate individual who enjoys working outdoors and has a deep understanding of plants and gardening. This position is part of a family-owned wholesale grower specializing in seasonal products such as annuals, perennials, and vegetables, which are supplied to major retailers.

Responsibilities

• Display, merchandise, and maintain live plant products in large garden center environments.
• Train and support other associates on procedures, displays, and proper watering practices.
• Engage with customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Work across multiple store locations when required.
• Collaborate effectively with store personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain regular communication with the Team Lead and promptly report any special requests or needs.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Saturday work is required as part of the role. During peak season, employees may also be required to work holidays.
• Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Smartphone required. Photos must be taken during each store visit and submitted to the Team Lead.
