Garage Mechanic Millwright

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Work as part of a team in support of a paper manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime.
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain work on a variety of mobile industrial equipment.
• Perform pump repair, arc welding, proper rigging.
• Operate mobile cranes, fork trucks, mobile lifts, and hoists.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a 2-year technical program.
• Able to sit, stoop, and bend.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• A current valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in a paper or other manufacturing environment.
• Training and certification in mobile equipment repair.
• 3 years’ experience as a heavy industrial mechanic or maintenance mechanic or equivalent training and experience.

• Willingness to work closely on a day-to-day basis with others including production personnel.
• Self-motivated with minimal direction at times.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
• Thriving in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Pay

• Hourly salary range for position: $32.61 (76% Apprentice) to $57.88
