Responsibilities
- Repair and install garage door parts and equipment on-site at customer locations.
- Diagnose issues and repair garage doors, door operators, and replace worn or broken parts.
- Install new equipment, including doors and springs.
- Educate customers on repair options and preventive measures, explaining the work performed after completion.
- Sell services, repairs, and new equipment using a proven good/better/best model.
- Collect payments from customers.
- Manage inventory in your vehicle to ensure you have the right tools and products for each job.
- Maximize your time by addressing customer needs efficiently and managing your schedule to assist as many customers as possible.
- Ensure quality work and customer satisfaction, leading to positive reviews.
- Commit to safety in driving and on-the-job tasks.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, both outside and in non-temperature-controlled garages.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow company processes reliably.
- Experience in the garage door industry is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
- Proficiency in using computers/tablets and hand tools.
- Comfort with technology and mechanical equipment.
Pay and Benefits
- Competitive pay with a base rate during the 90-day training period, followed by commission-based earnings.
