Responsibilities
- Provide a complete evaluation and precise diagnosis of any issues with the current system, then present the customer with their options
- Adhere to all workplace rules and regulations
- Attend appointments within the scheduled client window
- Accurately measure openings for installation and site checks for larger jobs
- Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices
- Maintain clean and professional work standards
- Pick up or load garage doors at our office as needed for the day
- Install various manufacturers' types of garage doors: Martin, Amarr, Hormann, Clopay, CHI, Elegant, Ranch House True Wood Doors, Schweiss Hanger Doors, Commercial Sectionals, Commercial Rolling Steels, Security Shutters, Exterior Screens
- Configure replacement spring combinations
- Repair various types of garage doors and openers
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment
- Choose the best solutions for each application based on safety, functionality, and performance
Requirements
- Comfortable using power and hand tools
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of electrical circuitry and connections
- Previous experience servicing or installing garage doors, including knowledge of principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in residential garage door service
- Mechanical aptitude and skill in using various hand and power tools
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
- Clear communicator, charismatic, and comfortable in face-to-face client interactions
- Team player with strong collaboration skills
- Self-starter able to operate without direct supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot, think independently, and problem-solve
- Organized and methodical work ethic
- Punctual with an excellent attendance record
