About the role

Good Guys Garage Doors is looking for a motivated Helper / Apprentice Installer who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career. No garage door installation experience is required. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and the desire to become one of the best installers in the industry. You'll work alongside experienced installers, learning every aspect of residential garage door installation while gaining hands-on experience every day. Responsibilities

• Residential garage door installations
• Removing and disposing of existing doors
• Installing tracks, hardware, springs, and openers
• Loading and unloading materials
• Job site preparation and cleanup
• Tool organization and equipment maintenance
• Learning proper installation techniques
• Performing final quality inspections with your installer
• Delivering a professional customer experience

As your skills develop, you'll take on more responsibility and eventually perform installations independently.

Training & Career Path

Our goal is to develop you into a professional Garage Door Installer. You'll receive hands-on training in:

• Garage door systems
• Spring systems and safety
• Track and hardware installation
• Garage door opener installation
• Door balancing and adjustments
• Quality control
• Customer communication
• Company systems and processes

Requirements

• Construction, mechanical, automotive, or other hands-on experience is preferred but not required
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and coachable mindset
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable using power tools and hand tools
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
• Ability to climb ladders and work in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
