Gaming Attendant

About the role

This position is responsible for servicing and building relationships with guests, paying hand-pay jackpots, and performing minor repairs on HHR machines at Rosie’s Gaming Emporium.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all department paperwork and data entry is completed and entered correctly, including jackpot slips, tax documents, and guest claim forms.
• Maintain the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of HHR machines; perform preventative maintenance during downtime.
• Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
• Have knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor and can determine proper payouts.
• Protect company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance.
• Promote player card usage on the gaming floor.
• Maintain paper levels in all terminals for optimal play.
• Notify shift supervisor of irregularities in guests' play.
• Ensure gaming devices are operating properly; call for technical or supervisory assistance when necessary.
• Knowledgeable of all basic Virginia Racing Commission rules and regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies to ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months experience in a related field, preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent guest service skills in a high-volume environment, preferred.
• Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations, preferred.
