About the role

This role requires regularly working on-site at customer locations in Orlando, Florida (UCF area). If you are not currently within commuting distance, you must be willing to relocate (note that Onebrief will provide relocation assistance).

Responsibilities

  • Learn and master AtomEngine to create and execute war-game scenarios in both single-player and multiplayer environments.
  • Identify bugs, provide actionable feedback, and recommend improvements to AtomEngine and Battle Road’s internal processes.
  • Perform a variety of testing tasks in a timely, efficient, and thorough manner.
  • Execute load testing, stability testing, functionality testing, and other testing activities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to quickly learn new systems, remove blockers, and provide actionable test results in real time.
  • Adapt quickly to fast-moving workflows, shifting priorities, and evolving deliverables.
  • Partner with test leadership to create and maintain clear, detailed test plans and testing procedures.
  • Test AtomEngine’s Developer Mod Kit by identifying and reporting bugs, validating functionality, and providing feedback to improve the user experience.
  • Test AtomEngine with and without customer-created Mods, documenting performance impacts, compatibility issues, and overall functionality changes.

Requirements

Experience as a game development hobbyist or technical tinkerer, including scripting or visual scripting experience with tools such as Unreal Blueprints and, preferably, GDScript.

Familiarity with PC gaming hardware.

Strong organizational skills and a high degree of self-direction.

Extensive experience in video game quality assurance across multiple titles, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.

Proven proficiency with industry-standard testing tools and software, including version control systems, bug tracking systems, and test management tools.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize testing activities based on project requirements and objectives.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work autonomously and asynchronously while providing regular progress updates and test results to test leadership.

Willingness and ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Due to federal contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
