We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Game Night Assistants, Communciations to join our team for Phoenix Suns home games. The game night staff will assist the Communications team with the implementation of all the team’s communications and media relations efforts on game nights. Your Role on the Team Assist with the setup of the media work roomIssue credentials and passes to media, staff, families and guestsDistribute statistics to the mediaAssist with compiling postgame material, including transcribing quotesAssist with researching statistical trends through the games and seasonMaintain regular and reliable attendance Your Skills And Experience Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel on a computerExcellent writing and editing skillsStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task effectivelyProfessional and personable demeanor and approachBasic knowledge of the NBA, Phoenix Suns and basketball in generalPrivy to confidential information that is not to be sharedMust be available to work nights, weekends and holidays for all Valley Suns home gamesHigh school diploma or GEDPursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications or related fields such as Public Relations and Marketing requiredPrevious writing experience preferred Experience in sports preferredIf applicable (role-specific): Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods of time.This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather is S-Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.Ability to Read, Write & Speak in English The Team & Experience We believe great organizations are built by great people.
