About The Role We are excited to invite passionate and innovative professionals to join Scopely’s AI-native incubation team, which is dedicated to discovering and developing the next generation of mobile games. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely within the United States or in a hybrid capacity based in Culver City, Los Angeles. The primary focus of this position is to leverage AI technologies to accelerate game development, from concept to launch, by transforming ideas into playable prototypes rapidly. Unlike traditional game development approaches, our team emphasizes quick experimentation, iterative learning, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to bring ideas to life efficiently. Candidates with a background in engineering, game design, art, or related fields who are eager to expand their skills through AI integration and work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment will find this role highly rewarding. You will have the opportunity to own game ideas, develop innovative workflows, and collaborate across disciplines to create engaging player experiences. The role is pivotal in defining scalable AI development practices and pioneering new methodologies in game creation, making it ideal for those who thrive on experimentation and continuous learning. Qualifications Strong expertise in at least one game development discipline, such as engineering, game design, art, technical art, or UX.Experience in incorporating AI into creative or development workflows.Enthusiasm for using AI to expand beyond primary discipline and broaden capabilities as a game creator.Preference for building, testing, and learning over lengthy planning cycles.Curiosity and adaptability with a keen interest in learning new tools and techniques as AI evolves.Strong product instincts and understanding of what makes games engaging.Ability to work effectively through ambiguity, rapid iteration, and feedback-driven changes.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Experience with modern game engines, development tools, and AI-native workflows is a plus. Responsibilities Own game ideas from concept through launch, including generating concepts and shaping mechanics, player experiences, and creative direction.Rapidly transform concepts into playable prototypes using AI-native workflows, modern game engines, and development tools.Leverage AI to accelerate programming, design, art, content creation, testing, and production processes.Design internal tools, automations, and agentic workflows to enhance team velocity and unlock new creative possibilities.Evaluate emerging AI technologies and experiment with innovative applications in game development.Collaborate across disciplines to iterate quickly on gameplay, features, and player experiences.Launch prototypes to real players, analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback, and incorporate insights into future iterations.Balance speed and quality by making thoughtful trade-offs that maximize learning and development efficiency.Help define scalable AI development practices across Scopely.Challenge traditional workflows and help pioneer new approaches to game creation using AI technologies.
