About The Role We are excited to invite innovative and passionate professionals to join Scopely’s AI-native incubation team, which is dedicated to discovering the next generation of mobile games. This role offers flexibility with remote work options in the US or a hybrid setup in Culver City, LA. Unlike traditional game development, our approach emphasizes rapid experimentation, leveraging AI to transform ideas into playable prototypes swiftly, launching them to real players, and learning from live market feedback. This methodology accelerates the game creation process, enabling us to bring more creative and engaging experiences to players faster. In this role, you will own the entire lifecycle of game ideas—from conceptualization to launch—collaborating across disciplines to develop mechanics, design player experiences, and shape the creative direction. You will utilize AI-native workflows, modern game engines, and innovative tools to rapidly prototype and iterate on game concepts. Your work will involve automating processes, designing internal tools, and experimenting with emerging AI technologies to enhance development efficiency and unlock new creative possibilities. The role encourages crossing traditional boundaries, allowing professionals from engineering, design, art, or other disciplines to contribute broadly to the game development process, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. You will analyze player feedback, iterate on prototypes, and make strategic trade-offs to maximize learning and game quality. Additionally, you will help define scalable AI development practices and challenge conventional workflows, pioneering new approaches to game creation that leverage AI’s full potential. Qualifications Strong expertise in at least one game development discipline such as engineering, game design, art, technical art, or UX.Experience integrating AI into creative or development workflows.Enthusiasm for expanding beyond primary discipline through AI-driven innovation.Proficiency in rapid prototyping, testing, and iterative development processes.Familiarity with modern game engines and development tools.Curiosity and adaptability to learn new tools and techniques as AI technology evolves.Strong product instincts and understanding of what makes games engaging.Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, embracing rapid iteration and change based on player feedback.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Responsibilities Own game ideas from concept through launch, generating concepts and shaping mechanics, player experiences, and creative direction.Rapidly transform concepts into playable prototypes using AI-native workflows and modern development tools.Utilize AI to accelerate programming, design, art, content creation, testing, and production processes.Design internal tools, automations, and workflows that enhance team velocity and foster creative innovation.Evaluate emerging AI technologies and experiment with new applications within game development.Collaborate across disciplines to iterate on gameplay, features, and player experiences based on market feedback.Launch prototypes to real players, analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and incorporate insights into future iterations.Balance speed and quality through thoughtful decision-making to maximize learning outcomes.Help establish scalable AI development practices across the organization.Challenge traditional workflows and pioneer innovative approaches to game creation leveraging AI capabilities.
