Game Day Merchandise Staff

Part-time, seasonal position reporting to the Seasonal Game Day Staff Manager, Director of Merchandising, and Merchandise Coordinator.

About the role

The North Carolina Courage, playing in the National Women’s Soccer League, is seeking part-time, seasonal Merchandise Staff to sell and promote merchandise to fans on game days while providing outstanding customer service in an exciting game-day atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of merchandise areas at the stadium for efficiency and presentation.
• Sell and promote merchandise to fans throughout the game.
• Receive and act on complaints from guests; contact a supervisor or manager if needed.
• Know the layout of the stadium to direct guests.
• Understand weather and emergency protocols; provide calm direction to fans during emergencies (e.g., lightning delays).
• Know and follow all North Carolina Courage policies and procedures relating to fan interaction and game days.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure efficient and safe event production on game days.
• Provide excellent customer service to maximize fans' game-day experience enjoyment.

Requirements

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
• Must be able to work at least 80% of home games for the NC Courage throughout the 2026 season.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, fans, and other office staff.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.

• Regularly lift/push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/push more than 50 pounds or exert heavy force.
