Game Day Assistant/ Athletics

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Film game action for AACC Athletics Live streams on YouTube and assist with production through Open Broadcast Software
• Compile live, in-game statistics for various sports, including, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and lacrosse. Enter statistics, and/or be a spotter for live entry personnel.
• Manage the operations of the game clock, shot clock, and/or scoreboard for various sports, including, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and lacrosse.
• Announce lineups and game action for fans.
• Assist volleyball officials as out of bounds line judges in volleyball matches.
• Aid in pace of play in soccer and volleyball by returning out of bounds game balls back into the game.
• Prepare fields and courts for games by setting up equipment and electronics. Breakdown fields following completion of contests and return equipment and electronics to proper storage spaces.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends to accommodate the needs of the department.
• Act and dress professionally while on the campus of AACC and interacting with the college community.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with intercollegiate sports teams, and terminology.
• Deal tactfully with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
