Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain knowledge of gambling harms, harm reduction strategies, and recovery support services.
- Engage with individuals who are exploring recovery or are at various stages of their recovery journey.
- Cookout peer support services related to gambling harms recovery.
- Facilitate individual and group peer support sessions.
- Aid individuals and families in navigating available support services and community resources.
- Provide support during pre-crisis and crisis situations and coordinate appropriate referrals.
- Conduct community outreach and public education on gambling harms prevention and recovery resources.
- Represent Catholic Charities at community events, meetings, trainings, and partner organizations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and community partners
