Gambling Harms Peer Support Coordinator

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of gambling harms, harm reduction strategies, and recovery support services.
  • Engage with individuals who are exploring recovery or are at various stages of their recovery journey.
  • Cookout peer support services related to gambling harms recovery.
  • Facilitate individual and group peer support sessions.
  • Aid individuals and families in navigating available support services and community resources.
  • Provide support during pre-crisis and crisis situations and coordinate appropriate referrals.
  • Conduct community outreach and public education on gambling harms prevention and recovery resources.
  • Represent Catholic Charities at community events, meetings, trainings, and partner organizations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and community partners
