About the Role

The G&E Lead Rental Technician works under the supervision of the G&E Department Manager and as a close collaborator to our G&E Rental Agent. This role is responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality control, safety, and execution of order processing, inventory tracking systems, and warehouse organization. The ideal candidate will be a technical authority, contribute strategically, and act as a strong representative to production crews and clients. This position plays an integral role in maintaining and improving staff culture and customer experience at our G&E facility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical representative when interacting with customers in the G&E facility and in the field, with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Expressway's rental operations, inventory systems, and software.
  • Assist with training, orienting, and directing new hires, day-players, and staff.
  • Identify, create, and implement department efficiencies and operational improvement processes.
  • Lead a staff of G&E Technicians in the following areas:
    • Maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of Expressway’s warehouse, parking lot, vehicles, and rental facilities.
    • Checking in returning orders and inspecting equipment thoroughly.
    • Preparing and executing orders with extreme care and attention to detail.
    • Flex, barcoding, and rental system strategy and implementation.
    • Advancement of equipment and technical knowledge.
    • Maintaining quality control, condition, and integrity of Expressway’s equipment inventory.
    • Handling RMA, shipping, and receiving between Expressway offices, customers, vendors, and sub-rentals.
  • Oversee trucks and driving:
    • Drive and understand the functionality of all of Expressway’s vehicles.
    • Develop and implement systems, schedules, and protocols to efficiently maintain our fleet.
    • Oversee trucking, transportation, transferring, and delivery logistics.
  • Apply on-set experience, etiquette, and represent Expressway professionally.
